The Nance Family has a long history in Colorado’s construction industry. Clyde Nance was a superintendent for General Contractors in the area like GH Phipps and Swinerton during the 1950’s and 1960’s. Clyde’s son, Ralph Nance, spent the majority of his career in earthwork after spending many summers working for Clyde doing concrete and carpentry. Ralph and his wife, Dee, made the decision to start their own company, Front Range Excavating, Inc., in the summer of 1988. Since then, Front Range Excavating, Inc. has laid the groundwork for over a thousand projects around the greater Denver Metro Area. Their legacy continues with their son, Scott Nance and his wife, Tricia, who now own and continue to operate Front Range Excavating, Inc.
After 20 years in the earthwork business, Scott and Tricia saw an opportunity to increase their service offerings. Now, in addition to earthwork, they offer full-service sitework packages for their customers through FRE Siteworks LLC and roll-off dumpster services for commercial and residential customers through Construction Roll-Off LLC.
Construction Roll Off is honored to be featured as an investor spotlight for the Arvada Chamber B.O.L.D. 2026 initiative. B.O.L.D. 2026 is a five-year program focused on regional economic strength and resiliency, developed by the Arvada Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with private and public sector leaders and partners from Arvada, Jefferson/Adams Counties, Metro Denver, and the state of Colorado.
Our decision to invest in the B.O.L.D. 2026 initiative stems from our belief in the importance of providing high school students with more education about career opportunities in the trades. We hope that these initiatives will spark growth in the construction industry and highlight the numerous opportunities available for young people to build successful careers without the necessity of a college degree.
Phil is a professional in the commercial construction industry with over 20 years of experience. He is a native of Illinois but has called Arvada home since 2001. He takes pride in offering customers a hassle-free experience and developing strong business relationships. His motto is “good jobs with good people”. When he’s not working you’ll find him grilling in his backyard for his wife and four daughters, slogging up a 14’er with his brother or enjoying a walk or bike ride with anyone who will join him along the Ralston Creek trail. You might also find him rooting for the Chicago Bears or Cubs which should tell you something about his level of commitment.
